With nearly 6.6 thousand flats on offer in the Tri-City at the end of July 2011, nearly 77% were located in Gdańsk. Over 19% of supply came from Gdynia and less than 4% from Sopot. The highest percentage of completed units on offer was observed in Gdynia – over 34%; as for Gdańsk and Sopot, the respective percentage shares were 28% and over 17%.
In Gdańsk, in the area of Chełm together with Gdańsk Południe, the total number of flats on offer was 2.1 thousand units, and this was a region characterised by the highest supply of new flats. The Gdynia market offered nearly 0.3 thousand residential premises in the area of Chwarzno – Wiczlin, and almost 0.2 thousand in the area of Redłowo. The supply of new flats in Sopot did not exceed 300 residential units. The growing advancement of the realisation of investments started in the second half of 2010 and at the beginning of the current year results in the situation where buyers will soon have a much wider range of completed dwellings. It is worth noting that in July nearly 0.5 thousand new flats were launched in the whole area of Tri-City in 11 new projects or phases of investments already on offer. Similarly to the available offer, a vast majority of flats launched on the market (nearly 71%) are also located in Gdańsk (in Gdynia they make up nearly 22% and in Sopot – less than 8%).
