78% of nearly 6.6 thousand flats that were on offer in the Tri-City at the end of the first quarter 2011 were flats located in Gdańsk. Nearly 18% of supply originated from Gdynia, and less than 4% from Sopot. The highest share of completed dwellings on offer was recorded in Gdynia (40.2%). In the case of Gdańsk and Sopot the corresponding rate reached 25.5% and 23.0%, respectively.
In Gdańsk in the area of Chełm, together with Gdańsk Południe, over 2 thousand residential premises were available for sale. In the case of Gdynia over 200 flats were offered in Redłowo, and over 100 in the area of Obłuże. Sopot’s supply of new flats did not exceed 300 units.
The offer that has been for sale for the last few months is becoming more and more noticeable. Worth noticing in the fact that in the Tri-City over one third of the offer at the end of the first quarter was made up by flats in investments which will be completed in 2012 at the earliest. In the first quarter of the current year 17 new projects or phases of bigger projects were launched in the Tri-City with over 1.1 thousand new dwellings.
