Kraków is one of the biggest residential markets in Poland. Nearly 22% of 5,800 flats offered there at the end of 2010 were completed dwellings.
Having taken into account the number of resignations from already purchased units, the net sale of flats recorded in Kraków in the fourth quarter of 2010 reached over 850 flats. It had been the highest rate since the beginning of the bull market. Compared to the situation in 2009, it is a result nearly 37% better and about 21% higher than in the third quarter of 2010. Generally, in 2010 development companies sold over 2,600 flats, which is nearly 7% more that in 2009 in total. Besides this, more and more new flats were launched on the Kraków market in every subsequent quarter in 2010.
